How Long is Implementation?

A Little Background

CloudCard is a SaaS product, which means our solution is hosted in the cloud. This means you won't need to run servers on site in order to take advantage of the software. That's why you can sign up for a free account and immediately start approving and denying photos.

What Happens Once I Place an Order?

We go straight to work customizing your organization. There are 3 major areas that need customization:

  1. Organization Design - Your colors and logo (click this link for help to do it yourself)

  2. Organization Emails - Welcome, login, approved and denial emails.

  3. Organization Settings - These vary based on the specific plan that you choose.

How Long is Organization Customization?

Although it varies, we usually complete the organization customizations in about a week. We are happy to work with you to customize your organization the best we can. These customizations are displayed to you in the training call before you launch using our software. We always ensure that you are satisfied with the customizations we have applied for you!

What If I Want Integrations?

CloudCard uses a well-documented, Full REST API. This means that we can integrate with virtually anything. Most types of software are completely possible to be compatible.

How Do I Integrate With CloudCard?

There are two options in which customers can ensure integration with their card production software:

  1. Buy a supported integration - This will ensure a tight integration with CloudCard:
    1. If the integration has already been built, we will walk you through the process of installing it at your campus. If it stops preforming as expected in the future, we will help you solve the issue and get back to processing high quality photos.
    2. If the integration has not been built, we will work with your IT team to build a solution for you (in most cases). There are instances when a customer is using an incredibly outdated piece of software in which we will not integrate.
  2. Build your own integration - If you have a particularly motivated/strong IT team, this is a viable option. As mentioned earlier we have a well documented API which will make things a lot easier. We also open source all our integrations on Github. Depending on which system you are trying to integrate, most of the hard work may already be completed for you.

How Long Does Integration Take?

That is definitely a loaded question. It varies case by case. Timing really depends on how available your IT department is. We need their involvement in order to build the integration. The technical problems really aren't that difficult to solve. It's all the distractions, back and fourth, and lack of focus that get in the way. If the IT team can be significantly engaged in the project we could have this done in a week or two. If the integration has already been built the process will go a lot quicker.

Four main integration checkpoints to hit to finish up the process (these can vary depending on your price plan; enterprise A+ or A-):

  1. SSO (single sign on):

This is setup up on a call with our dev/ support team. We usually get this done between 30 mins to an hour when we get full cooperation of timing and effort from an IT team.

  1. Downloader:

This is also setup in a call with our dev/ support team. The faster we get these calls scheduled the faster we can get you to launch with us!

  1. Custom URL:

This is done separately from us with a few help documents to help customers get it set up. We are also more than welcome to schedule a call if needed.

  1. Custom Email:

This is also independent but will be happy to help in anyway needed!

Assigning all these jobs to 3-4 different IT members allows for the fastest process. Note that it can be done with fewer and we will work to help those members as best as we can. The speed of this setup really depends on the skill, motivation, and engagement of your IT team. Like above, if the integration has already been built on Github the timeline will be a lot shorter.
