Card Office Cropping Feature
HelperBot is great at creating good, high quality ID photos. As per all software there are certain instances where the input data can be unexpected and HelperBot may not be able to accommodate perfect cropping for every photo. If you are running into this issue and would like to manually crop a red or even yellow status photo here is how you can do that.
Photo Cropping Guidelines
Two big requirements for cropping from HelperBot are the following:
- Room above the head- HelperBot looks to see if the head in the photo has enough room above the head. This is to prevent any cutting off of the top of anyone's head in the ID photo. Make sure to even just a little bit a space of above the head.
- Bottom of Photo at Collarbone- Another aspect of a photo HelperBot looks at is if the bottom of the photo lines up with the cardholder's collarbone. This is to ensure that the neck is included in the photo and it isn't just a floating head in the ID photo. 😬
Starting on the pending page locate the red or yellow status photo you would like to manually crop.
You will then be presented with a screen giving details about the photo (Classification score).
Click on the photo itself to begin manually cropping
You can now crop to the match the "Photo Cropping Guidelines" (explained above) and click Save Changes
*note: in this case it likely was giving a bad classification score because the top of the head is being cut off. This is commonly a big miscommunication*
To see the changes to your photo click refresh and then click Current Photo
And here you can see your newly cropped photo
Now after going back to see the photo you can see that the classification score has improved due to better exactness to the photo requirements
